HART DISTRICT COUNCIL
DELIVERING IMPACTFUL LEARNING TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS
Now in its second year, our partnership with Hart District Council has seen us deliver several successful Child Criminal Exploitation IMPACT sessions across a number of Secondary Schools in the region.
In the Summer term of 2022, over 950 Year 8 students took part in IMPACT days which include; a facilitated drama performance, interactive ‘making meaning’ workshop and a series challenges – all designed to raise awareness of the methods criminal gangs use to Target, Test and Trap young people, to highlight the associated risks and the dangers relating to “county lines” activity and to develop mental toughness and resilience.
Our engaging play “Our Town” sets the scene in a powerful thought-provoking 3-hander followed by a “Making Meaning” workshop which allows the young people to ask questions of the characters in the play and to think about how some of the things they have just seen could relate to their own lives. A series of physically active Game Changer challenges then allow students to see how their choices of words, behaviours and actions can impact themselves and those around them.
