The Emergency Services Show - 19th September 2024
The Emergency Services Show and The Emergency Tech Shows are Europe’s industry-leading annual events tailored to the specific needs of emergency services personnel in the UK.
In the last year, Gamechanger have consulted and liaised with The Police on many occasions to devise and develop our CCE and County Lines educational and interventional programmes. We’ve also delivered our ‘Inform’ programmes in the Cleveland region as a result of being awarded funding from The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland and The Cleveland Unit for The Reduction of Violence (CURV). More recently, we have been commissioned to write and produce fully immersive, VR content to train and educate police and associated staff on the prevalent issue of ‘Cuckooing’.
So, when the opportunity arose to attend The Emergency Services & The Emergency Tech Shows at The NEC on the 18th and 19th September 2024, Jessica Wright (MD) and Rich Dawson (BDM) of the Gamechanger Team were interested in engaging with some of the other police forces in attendance.
Along with 16,000+ blue light professionals, we were able to share key skills and knowledge of Gamechanger’s immersive education and training services and talk about how our unique blended learning solutions, including immersive digital experiences that utilise VR and AR, can benefit training and education of police in delivering impactful, immersive and unique training experiences.
Those in attendance included: Regional Police Forces, Counter Terrorism Police, The UK Border Force, The British Transport Police and Police training colleges and universities.
During the event, we were also able to foster some meaningful cross-sector connections with colleagues and peers and learn more about the importance of AI, AR and VR in devising and developing training and simulation programmes for UK bluelight staff and organisations.
